Teaching staff: According to Policy GCBA (BOE approved change 2/18/25), the district may recognize the first six (6) years of an employee's previous comparable experience when placing employee on the salary schedule starting the 2025-2026 school year. The district will increase the recongized years for new employees by one year each following school year until school year 2029-2030, recognizing up to the first 10 comparable years of experience.  One credit will be given for the every two years of previous comparable experience thereafter.
     2026-2027 - recognize the first seven (7) years…
     2027-2028 - recognize the first eight (8) years…
     2028-2029 - recognize the first nine (9) years…
     2029-2030 - recognize the first ten (10) years…


All other salary/pay schedules specify the number of comparable years which can be brought in for placement.

Nu. rsing Staff:
Follow teaching staff comparable experience awarded. 

Transportation Staff: Drivers and Monitors can start up to Step 5 with prior comparable years of experience.

Staff without a salary/pay schedule have designated starting salary ranges to consider previous comparable experience.  Starting ranges are posted with each position when an opening occurs.
