Standards Based Grading (SBG)
In Kindergarten thru 5th Grade, Standards Based Grading (SBG) is used in all academic and special area classes. Grades are intended to be a report about where your child is performing at a certain point in time. Our goal is for students to retain the knowledge and skills they have learned throughout the school year. Therefore, on the report card, you will see where your child is performing at that point in time on the concepts that are being addressed or have already been taught. Progress will be reported in each area according to where your child is performing in relation to the End of Year Goal. The proficiency scales developed clearly outline student performance at each level. Proficiency scales for each grade level and course can be found below.
