Inconsistent Wi-Fi

Does your Wi-Fi work in one location but not an another?  For example, it works at school but not at home?
Does your Chromebook occasionally drop the Wi-Fi while you are using it?
Is your Chromebook not wanting to connect to the school Wi-Fi?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, please try removing your account and adding it back on with the following steps.

Remove Account:


Sign out of your Chromebook.  On the sign-in screen, click the arrow to the right of your username, and then select Remove Account.  It will then pop up with another box where you will need to click Remove Account again.  Then you will need to log into the Chromebook - at that time, it will reload your user profile.

If you tried this and you still unable to connect to the Wi-Fi, please refer to Step 2 on the Student Tech Help Desk homepage to request further assistance.

It is important to note that, if you are having issues connecting at home or at an outside location (such as Starbucks), the issue could be with that particular wi-fi connection and not an issue with the Chromebook.  If this is case, OFSD will not be able to assist you.
