Board Certified Teachers

Orchard Farm is proud to announce four teachers in the District have earned their National Board Certification, the highest credential in the teaching profession.

The District congratulates Orchard Farm Middle School Math Teacher Helen Wolf, Orchard Farm Elementary Innovation Teacher Laura Stegmann, Orchard Farm Fourth Grade Teacher Tracy Mobley, and Orchard Farm Third Grade Teacher Rebecca Stanley-Deist for achieving National Board Certification. Earlier this year, Mrs. Alyse Johnson (OFMS) was the first teacher in the district to earn the distinction.

National Board Certified Teachers are highly accomplished educators who meet high and rigorous standards. The certification is a voluntary process in which teachers work to advance the quality of teaching and learning. As part of this process, teachers analyze their teaching context and students’ needs, submit videos of their teaching, and provide student work samples that demonstrate growth in student learning over time.

Like board-certified doctors and accountants, teachers who achieve National Board Certification have met stringent standards through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment, and peer review. Search the National Board Certified Directory.
