| During the June 21, 2011 Board of Education meeting, the board took the time and recognized Meghan Boschert, Brooke Burckhardt, Laurel Colemire, Ria Colemire, Kacie Creswell, Sareen Dargahi, Emily Evans, Kendall Gilkey, Abby Gruendler, Casey Kesselheim, Andrea Liston, Claire Liston, Casey Mann, Hannah Medler, Shelby Meyer, Erin Purgahn, Alexis Robbers, Brooke Semke, Carley Swisher, Kyleigha Wacker, Brandi Woodby, and Daniel Johnson, high school soccer team, as members of the varsity girls’ 4th Place State Soccer Team.
The board also recognized Brandon Cox, girls soccer coach, for outstanding leadership and service as both a faculty member and girls’ varsity soccer coach as well as his selection as Class 1 Public Schools Coach of the Year.

| During the May 17, 2011 Board of Education meeting, the Board took the time to recognize Max Balk, Lauren Beasley, Tylor Brom, Emily Henry, Tim Keil, Tony Kipp, David Roy, Shelby Schneider, and Mark Sweany, high school students, Luanne Heggs, Scholar Quiz Bowl sponsor, and Kevin Stockman, faculty assistant, on receiving 4th place in State as members of the Orchard Farm High School Quiz Bowl team.
