Timeline for Graduating Seniors and their Parents/Guardians
The following is intended to provide a timeline for the activities and events that occur during a student's senior year leading up to graduation. This timeline is general and does not provide specific dates.
Summer prior to senior year: Senior pictures (taken by professionals in studio or in the community)
August: Senior Sunrise Ceremony (celebration of first morning of school for senior class)
Senior Barn Painting ( updating the barn across from campus if permission is granted)
September: Senior class officers choose graduation announcement design
October: Caps, gowns and graduation announcements ordered
November-April: Monthly senior parent meetings begin (planning and fundraising for all-night chemical-free graduation party)
May:
- Senior Prom
- Caps, gowns and graduation tickets distributed (10 per graduating student (4 floor and 6 bleacher))
- Senior final exams (Wednesday-Monday of week prior to last week of school)
- Senior year activities include senior parade (last Monday of school), locker cleanout and textbook return, senior activity day (paintball or Forest Park),
- Class group picture for senior newspaper, graduation rehearsals (Wed./Thur.), senior breakfast, individual cap/gown pictures
- Senior luncheon at Pio's
- Senior sunset celebration (evening of Monday-last unofficial day for seniors), Commencement ceremony (Thursday evening), all-night party (Thur. PM./Fri. AM)
