 World History

In sixth grade social studies we concentrate on world history.  We learn through a program called History Alive! which includes a great deal of hands-on activities and interactive learning.  We also keep what is called an Interactive Notebook, which is a lot like a portfolio that contains a lot of the assignments and learning materials we use throughout the school year.

What do we learn about?

  • Early Humans and the Rise of Civilization
  • Ancient Egypt and the Near East
  • Ancient India
  • Ancient China
  • Ancient Greece
  • Ancient Rome
  • Much, Much More

 A Little About Mr. Kamp

This is my tenth year of teaching.  I taught fifth grade for two years at Orchard Farm Elementary School.  This is my eighth year at Orchard Farm Middle School.  I truly love being at the middle school because I get to teach my favorite subject, World History!  I spend most of my free time outside of school with my beautiful wife Sarah, and my sweet daughters, Hazel and Annabel, not to mention my crazy dog, Amos, who you will hear a lot about.  I also coach varsity baseball at the highschool.
