Title I

What is Title I?
 
Title I is is a  reform strategy designed to strengthen the educational program of the school. Its primary goal is to ensure that all children have a fair and equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and to reach a proficient or advanced level of achievement on state academic assessments. This reform strategy requires requires that a school do the following.
  • Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment.
  • Identify and commit to specific goals and strategies that address the needs identified in the assessment.
  • Create a comprehensive plan to meet those goals.
  • Conduct an annual review of the effectiveness of the schoolwide program and revise the plan as necessary.
