District WiFi Availbilty and Description

The Orchard Farm School District has several WiFi options available. Please see the list below of the various networks and how they may apply to you.

OFSD – This is protected and no personal devices are allowed to connect to it, only district approved devices (i.e. mobile carts).

PDA – This is protected and no personal devices are allowed to connect to it, only district approved devices (i.e. administrative PDAs).

OFPrintThis is protected and no personal devices are allowed to connect to it, only district approved devices (i.e. wireless printers).

GuestOFSD – This has a password but is used for guests on our network i.e. when DESE, presentors, contractors, etc comes in, even then we (the technology department) will still need to be contacted to setup the device. We would not give out the passcode, and we would not setup a personal device such as an iphone, itouch… There would need to be a legitimate need for access.

OFSDPublic-3PM-12AM – This is the only WiFi you are allowed to connect your personal devices to (laptop, iphone, itouch, etc), with the hitch that you can only use it during the hours of 3PM-12AM M-F and 6AM-12AM Saturday and Sunday during the school year and 6AM - 12AM Sunday to Saturday during the summer.

Remember that no matter which network you connect to, you still must follow the district network policy.
